Ty holds a Master of Science degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, a four-year program. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist both nationally and in California. California awards its acupuncturists with primary care practitioner status.

Ty has completed over 2000 hours of school-based training, including internships at two ear acupuncture clinics, two community medicine clinics, and a mental health outpatient facility.

Ty has completed Post-graduate training in allergy elimination, functional endocrinology, biological terrain detoxification, complex homeopathy, nutritional supplementation, TMJ, parasite elimination, neuro-emotional clearing and trauma release techniques, flower essences, essential oils, the eight extra meridian treatments, uterine massage, pain relief techniques.
